if u haven't yet applied for the nclex you have to do that. if you intend to work in texas, you need a credential evaluation from cgfns. then take nclex-rn for texas. and look for employer. you also have to go for visa screen certificate [which requires an english test (ielts academic or toefl) and nclex or cgfns pass result] if you do not hold a us passport or you are not a us permanent resident.
you can also post your message to international nursing forum...there is our super moderator suzanne...to answer you more clearly
I talked with Suzanne before and i did my credential evaluation and i am preparing for IELTS and NCLEX,Suzanne told me about the whole process but what i want to know is findind a recruiter to provide a job for me and It's so dangerous to take any opportunity if you don't know this agency or recruiter.
Thank you Starbin

I have been a nurse in UK for over 30 years in elderly care and health visiting and looking to move to Dallas with my partner as his children are here.
I spoke to the Texas Nursing Board yesterday and they are going to send me the info about applying for a Texas license.
I have the same problem about trying to get a job and finding a trustworthy agency. I would like to be able to find work as soon as possible.
I don't know whether having the license is sufficient to apply for a green card. Can anyone help me please?
Many thanks:confused:
