Hello guys, I just joined allnurses today, because I need help and I am dying to get some answers here. I graduated Practical Nursing in the Philippines and now married, have SS and I am a permanent Resident here in the USA (green card holder), I've been here in the USA for like 3 years now. I am currently residing here in North Carolina, I called the NC board of Nursing to ask a few questions regarding my status, but unfortunately, they told me that they do not recognize the credits over the Philippines, and that made me felt so down. Anyhow, I did not loose hope, so I kept searching over the internet and searched for the compact states that recognize foreign graduate's credits and one of them is Virginia, and now I called them just today and talked to the lady, she told me they do recognize foreign graduate's credits to take the NCLEX PNs/RNs, however she said I need to be a resident in Virginia to be able to qualify, but she is not so sure about it so she gave me a phone number of this women that I can talk to that knows better about taking the Nclex if you are a foreign nursing graduate, I called her but no answers. so I left a voicemail. So the bottom line here, Is anyone has an idea on how to take NCLEX-PN in Virginia, and what are the steps? please anyone? I would love hear from you. I am dying for an answers.Thanks. Michelle.

Question, once you pass the NCLEX, where do you plan to immediately start looking for a job? VA or NC?
