First of all do you have permanent status also known as green card? If you don't your application won't be looked at.
To be a nurse midwife you must have a RN,BSN and a MSN which is about 6 years of schooling. You have to complete the application which will allow you to sit for 2 sets of exams the RN and the advanced practice midwife exam.
There is another option which is a lay midwife, since this is a nursing web site you won't find much information. Do a google search lay mid wife in California.

To become a RN, you must have had theory and clinicals in the areas, of medical surgical, psych, pedi, and ob. I don't know if your midwife qualification covered these areas.

The nursing job market in California is not good at the present time, even for nurses with experience. I seriously would make another state your final destination if you really want employment in the US. Good luck to you!
Hi,
Thank you for your reply Ginger's Mom
Yes, of course I'm US resident for many years...
Right now I'm carry my LVN license. (has been evaluated from my Foreign edc.)
Just would like to know if Foreign Midwife would be quilified in California as a RN
(I just want to become RN, not Nurse Midwife)
I heard that CA State does not qulify Foreign Midwifes to become an RN.

I think you answered your own question, you were evaluated as LPN. The good news after going back to school for 9 or 12 months you could become a RN.
Thanks again,
Could you Please explane more detailed where can I get those 9-12 months classes?
I was doing reserches at West Coast University but takes 36 months?
Thank you
