Did you take practice tests? How many questions did you do? If you got them wrong, did you look up and review, or go by rationale stated?
What percentage did you get wrong in practice before you took the test (and pass or fail?)
How can I possibly know all this stuff (without looking up)!!!

I found it easier to do questions and then review the rationale to the ones I got wrong. It helped me to look at that the question was really asking. I did as many questions as I could starting slowly at first and increased the amount of questions I answered once I got used to the format and more confident in my knowledge. What I found hard was I had x amount of years experience as I am a foreign nurse so I had to think a lot more as a new grad with no actual experience and not based on what you would actually do in that situation but on what the text books actually say

OMG, yes!!!! it's all about doing questions. I must have done about 3000 over many months time in preparation. But I made sure not to be loyal to one review site only. I used Kaplan, Lipincott's NCLEX 3500, Saunders, and all my CD's fr Reviews & Rationales.
They all gave me slightly different degrees of difficulty meshed w/ rationales.
Additionally, I found that if I only reviewed the rationale behind those I got wrong, then I might mistake the ones I got correct on later questions. So I made sure to review every question from every question bank. I also found that tutor mode worked better for me than test mode b/c I received instantaneous rationales rather than wait for 50 questions and continue to make mistakes without correction.
I passed on my first try w/ 76 questions.
Good luck!!
