For All Those Still Waiting

Some of you might know that i had gotten chosen as an Alternate for the Nursing program at the school i am currently attending. I wanted to get into this school so bad but i had gotten chosen as alternate number 8. Many weeks had past since i gotten that first letter telling me that i was an alternate and i had almost given up but something deep down inside made me keep latching on to the little bit of hope that i have. Well it PAID OFF....

Today i got a letter of ACCEPTANCE into my schools nursing program. I WILL BE AN RN in 2008 or an LPN in 2007. either way i will be doing what i was born to do.

For all those who have gotten alternate letter or waiting list letters I AM LIVING PROOF that miracles happen. Keep your hope alive because god see that and makes it happen for you.

Congratulations!

I didn't get into the school where I applied. They do not tell us where we stand on the list of alternates. I am hoping that I hear from them sometime this summer.

I'm not on a waiting list or alternate list but today I heard that three people dropped from the program I applied to and so that means three people on the alternate list will get in this Fall! So congrats to you and to the others that are "waiting" sort-to-speak because those who are on an alternate list or a very short waiting list have an acceptance into this session or the next! :D

I am so lucky in the fact that I JUST started college In January. No i just didn't jumped into nursing, i have been a nurses aide for a while, but i finally decided to go for it this year. When i started i was oblivious to the fact that it was so hard to get into nursing school. I never went to college so i didn't know about waiting list and GPA's and alternate lists. At my school you can take all the core courses(A&P1,2,Composition,Human Growth,Psych,Sociology) and get in from your GPA, or you can take the NLN pre entrance exam and they chose 15 people from two combined NLN pre entrance exams. Then about a week ago, i found out that i was on 1 of 2 alternate lists, thats when i was going to through in the towel, and i just about did, but something just kept naggin me deep inside to not count myself out. And yesterday after my A&P class i checked the mail and boy was i amazed to see the letter from my school. SO i am pretty Lucky about this whole thing but that just proves to me more that this is what i was meant to do.

the point of the above post is for all the people on alternate list or just waiting dont count yourself out..im living proof that it WILL HAPPEN!!!

I defiantely can vouch for that as well I was on the waiting list of 10 and at the time they said that it could be up until August before I find out and I found out yesterday that I got in. Anything is possible do give up and KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
