So We just started fluid and electrolytes. I did get the book "fluids and electrolytes made easy" thankfully I read and took notes prior to class, however I'm still over whelmed. We have an exam next week, and its hard to focus on other topics when fluids and electrolytes is so much information. I guess the only thing I can do its read, read, review, and do more reading, and hopefully something will click. Its alot of info. but I must say I still love nursing.... just wish we can have more smaller/ frequent exams. Our next exam is on pharmocology, med. administration, IV therapy, fluids/electrolyes, nutrition, and cardiovascular assessment. Its so much we have to know. :banghead:Why can't we just have an exam every week on two topics ? Anyway wish me luck as I take on fluids and electrolytes head on ! :nuke::uhoh21:

break your studying up into short sessions with this stuff. it is very easy to confuse the different electrolytes (the major 6) if you try to clump them all together and study them all at once. try to associate one or two major diseases and its signs and symptoms with the signs and symptoms of the hypo- or hyper- electrolyte connected with it to help you remember the electrolyte.

Thanks alot daytonite ! You're right.... I'm just going to focus on a couple of electrolytes at a time. Hopefully this will help !
