I am curious

How much did you have to pay for flu vaccine?

I just paid $74.00 for ten dose vial.

Does not seem to be a shortage ..but it certainly is pricey this year!!

Looking forward to hearing from you

We don't pay anything. I guess we're fortunate. I live in Ontario, Canada and we have a government funded universal flu shot program that supplies flu shots to everyone. One thing I have found is that the flu shots are late this year. Normally they come out mid-September and here we are early/mid October and we still don't have our flu shots.

How many doses did you order this year? I ordered the same amount that I gave last year, 300, but I'm hoping to get more in.

We paid $74 for a 10 dose vial this year. I'm finding that the last dose is coming up a tad short of 0.5cc, and I'm very careful not to "spew" any from previous dose removals.

Hi Linda

I like that.. washya hands... cute

yes I noticed the same thing.. have to be careful with dose amount

I orderd my second 100 doses and got a reduced rate of 66.00 per vial.

Medicare is only paying $6.23 per injection.. I guess we are expected to subsidize the health care.

How much are you charging for the flu shots?

wow Canada rocks!!! Flu shots for free. I wll have to chat with you a little more.

Have a great night!! *darla**

Darla,

At my school clinic we charge $11.00, but we're not out to make a huge profit. I also do flu vaccine clinics for a nationally known company on the side, and they charge $18.00.

It always seems that after a shortage of anything the price goes up and the shortage goes away. It appears that works for gas, oil and coal and flu vaccines. My HMO covers flu shots if you get them at your PCP. The year of the shortage they would cover them other places but only if your PCP was out. I got my short no charge, not even a deductable for office visit.
