Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Did the application close ? I know it said May 15th but also says June 30th for high school students so I see it’s still open and I’m confused now. Also past forums look like the find out the end of this month or 4 weeks later which will put us at June

Yeah the application closed for everyone besides high school seniors. So college students have missed the deadline. High school seniors have always had a later deadline for some reason. & I was referencing that 2 weeks after the deadline has closed (end of May), we usually find out if we’ve made it to phase 2: the testing/interview phase. I know that at the end of June is when we find out we’re eligible for placement, and then full acceptance once background/drug test/finger prints etc are cleared a few weeks later. At least that’s been the trend the last couple cycles.

High school students get a little more time to apply because they usually graduate high school in May. At least that’s what I assume. 
 

Theres a nursing session on May 20th at 11am. Register through the fsw website so you can get a lot of your questions answered.

That’s what I figured! My sister is a senior and graduates on the 24th and you don’t get your diploma/official transcripts right away anyways! 
 

Also, I’ve already done an information session back in October or November! Was really helpful and basically laid out all the phases of the application etc! Good luck to you as well! ✨?

Love that for you!! I live like 10 mins from Lee campus so I hope we both get our first choices! I would hate to have to drive 40+ minutes in either direction ?

Hey guys!! Did you see the update on the FSW ASN website? It said that those who applied as college students will revive an email next week with an update about their application status on moving into the next phase! I hope we all get the email we’re looking for! ☺️

Hiii! I didn’t even notice but it was mentioned during the nursing information session today.

Hi yes I saw last night and previous groups had it around May 28th so that is the same week. Cheering for you all as well. Is anyone first choice and second Lee anew and collier anew?

Yeah so if it follows the same pattern as last fall, the 28th was a Friday so hopefully we should know by the 27th which is also a Friday! I believe @Nursing_journey said their first choice was Lee anew!

Sara (nursing student advisor) said that they would continue interviews via zoom. It would take about 45min to complete. The interview is their way to get to know the applicant. Testing is in person this fall. I think she said we’d find out if we are accepted in the program by the 3rd or 4th week of June. I wish I had written it down LOL. But honestly, I wasn’t thinking about the process for that far ahead. I just wanted to know when would we proceed to phase 2.
