Florida SouthWestern State College (FSW) - Fall 2022

Published

Hey y’all!! I’m taking prerequisites and I’m hoping to apply by May 2022 Lord willing. I noticed that the previous program started a post and figured why not get one started for the next class. I’ll update this post when I apply and if/when I get accepted.

Okay cool! Mine lasted the hour too! We had a little bit of time for questions at the end which was nice. I was just curious cause the timing has been all over the place.

Any suggestions on the math and writing portion? How was the writing is it an essay or grammar? Also any questions during the interview for help.

Awesome!! How did you think you and your group did?

My group lasted almost the whole hour, I know some groups finished in like 30 ish minutes.

Suggestions? Interview help/suggestions, questions & how is the math and writing portion?

There’s a bunch of comments already earlier in the thread on suggestions for the math and writing tests! I feel like anything else said will give it away too much.

As far as the interview, they’re pretty basic subjective questions. No right or wrong answers so it’s just what you feel. Best tip I can give is just be honest (speak from the heart), confident, and relaxed. It’s super laid back. I hope that helps!

Hi guys, I got 14 on my math and 20 on my reading, with the 16 I have from my GPA I have 50 points so far. I hope I got a good enough score in my interview because I really prefer to go to Lee day schedule. I'm worried because I looked last year and the bare minimum score was an 85! So WOW!? That means every single person they let in had higher than 4.0 GPA AND got all perfect scores on everything! This is so nerve-wracking but I'm glad I got everything in and just need to wait for my results. I think lots of kids didn't score very high on the math which is a shame. Good luck to us all! ❤️

I think they may have scored differently last year because those scores are super high

They definitely scored differently in fall 2021! If you look at the Spring 2022 admit profile no one got into the 80s I think the highest score was a 77 so I think you’re fine! I have 53 points without the interview and I’m just going to assume I got 19 or 20 points on the interview which would put me in the 70s and probably same for you too!

I wish they would’ve done like an asterisk on the fall 2021 cycle because the point system now with the way it is set up a perfect score is 80 points so they definitely did something different between the fall 2021 and Spring 2022!

Also, awesome job on the writing score! You got that trick question right! You should definitely be proud of your scores, and in rooting for you! I hope we both get Lee day schedule since it’s our first choice ❤️

OK that REALLY sets my mind at ease, I'm over here asking my bf can we move to naples or punta gorda if I don't get in?? the poor guy had to take a beta blocker having to deal with me! thanks Karli, your words have really helped me through this whole process and I can't wait to meet and help each other through this next 4 semesters!

LMAO trust me I feel the same way. I have a friend that lives 10 mins away from the Naples campus and I was like I might be your part time roommate if I don’t get my first choice ?

But of course, always here to help! I think everyone can get a little discouraged just cause you don’t know what the competition is like and it’s easy to freak out. But, honestly getting 70+ points you’re in the 90th percentile. I’m fairly confident we did well. ❤️
These are going to be the longest 2 weeks of our life but I’m looking at it as a nice little break from all the stress we endured during the application process!

I hope we get to meet during school ?

My interview only lasted 28 minutes. Everyone's answer was short and sweet and to the point.

I’m glad you finished your interview! I love that for you, every group is different ☺️
I bet it feels so good to be done now

Just finished my interview thank god!! And now we wait… that was stressful but they made it as comfortable as can be!
