Transferring To Another Nursing Program

  1. Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever transferred to another nursing program, once they were already enrolled in one? I'm asking because I am seriously thinking I should have looked into more options before I just accepted Broward College's offer.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy I got in. But they told us the LPN to RN transition is 19 months long! And some of my friends have asked me why I didn't just apply to a BSN program, since that is my ultimate goal. And now I'm asking myself the same thing.

Has anyone ever successfully transferred from one ASN program to another, or even to a BSN program? I know Miami Dade College is harder to get into, but I just read that their transition program is only 12 months. I thought Broward was the same. Or is Miami Dade only counting actual time in class, not the time off like Broward does?

I'm looking into transferring to another program as well. I'm not happy with BCC's program, so I am exploring my other options. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, especially if you haven't started yet. Let me know if you come up with any information....
