The job hunt in South Florida.

U.S.A. Florida

Hello everyone, I am new to AN and I have just recently passed my NCLEX two weeks ago. I was wondering if anyone had any advice as to their job hunting experience in south Florida. I know it has only been two weeks, but I have been very proactive about applying to jobs. I keep reading posts about how discouraging the job market is out there, specially if you are a new grad. Also, since 90% percent of all job applications are online, I can't help but feel like its just easier to fall through the cracks. Any advice would help! Thanks!!

We are on the same boat. All of the jobs u need experience. And some make sure they include NO NEW GRAD. How encouraging. Alot of people tell me to try nursing homes... even though they are online u can try calling to speak to the recruiters... or just go in to hr. And show ur face...

Yes most job postings include NO NEW GRADS. It's very disappointing to say the least. I've also heard about trying out nursing homes, and home health as well..

That is what ive been doing but even the nursing homes asking for experience or LPN only.... so frustrating
