Thanks so much Holly! I was thinking about putting aside $1000 from this disbursement then I'd have the $800 book line of credit, which I've heard can be extended by talking to the financial aid office. I've gotten several immunizations recently through my job and already have one uniform, so I think I estimated about right.
That's what I did with my summer disbursement. I put it aside for school. If you need to get any titers or vaccinations, I would definitely go through the health department. They are the cheapest. I was dumb and ended up spending like $150 to get all the titers done when it's $5 for each titer at the health department.

I spent $1428 on all my books but that includes the skills kit and 2 recommended books and a BP cuff and pen light. Then I bought two uniforms, shoes, and school supplies. I'm not entirely sure how much it all was, but at least $1000. I would save as much as you can!
Thanks Rebecca Michelle! I've been slowly purchasing items like BP Cuff, Stethoscope, Pen Lights, Pulse Oximeter, shoes, rolling crate, etc...so it doesn't all hit at once. I'm definitely going to be saving but just wanted to put a little chunk aside to start me off. I hope you're having a great first level experience!

Any 4th level students out there watching?

I've heard there's a clinic at the HEC that does cheap or free physicals for students, but every time I've tried to call the HEC lately it says due to the high call volume they can't take my call. I can't find anything about this online. Does anyone here know if that's true or have any information about it?

I think it's through the NUHS, which is on the HEC campus.

Thank you! I looked that up and found it right away. Free physical scheduled for next week, providing I get good news Thursday! How's level 1 going, by the way?

Cool! It's going okay I suppose. Thankfully only a few weeks left. Be prepared to work your butt off and barely have time to breathe. There's so much stuff thrown at you all at once, that it is nearly impossible to keep up with. Just hang in there though!

Did anyone buy earlier editions of some of the textbooks on the list and if so, did it cause any problems?

I wouldn't do that because they're not going to match the lectures or tests.
