MDC Nursing spring 2014

U.S.A. Florida

So I'm starting the post for Spring 2014. I'm currently waiting for my acceptance letter for fall term but just in case applying for spring is my back up plan.

So my GPA is 3.0 and my teas is 72 giving me a score around 73.

Since I didn't get a first round email for fall I'm thinking of retaking my teas test so if anyone is willing to study with me please let me know. Good luck to everyone applying for spring!!

What program are you applying to? I had an 82 on TEAS and A's in all my science courses except for a B in chemistry and I got into bridge, generic (medical), and generic (homestead). Spring is a little easier to get into I think because of lack of applicants, and the bridge is pretty easy to get into overall.

Hey everybody!

I just took my teas on Friday and my score is 78%. my science GPA is 3.8 so I think that makes my overall score to be an 84. I am considering retaking the teas but I am due in the middle of August so I don't know how willing I will be to get out of the house. I applied to generic part time and full time.

Thank you!

Thanks for starting this topic. I am also applying for Spring 2014 to both generic and accelerated FT. My science GPA is 3.4 and I got an 82.7 on the TEAS. Since I'm a bit paranoid that my GPA or test score won't be good enough, I am retaking the TEAS tomorrow to hopefully improve the only thing I can attempt to improve (since improving my GPA is pretty much out of the question). I am anxious about not getting in. I have read other topics about people with an amazing GPA and a solid TEAS scores (80's) not getting in. It's to the point that I dont even know what my chances are OR what I need to get to guarantee me a seat in the Spring 2014 class. Does anyone have a clue about how competitive things will be in the Spring?

@miri33 I think you have a pretty good score but you have another chance why not take it good luck on the teas. I'm taking mine next month. If you don't mind can you please post about after your teas.

Thanks Candy, I certainly hope so. I just got home from taking my TEAS a second time. This time around I got an 88.7%. I was hoping to graze the 90's, but, whatever, at least it's a better score and not worse. :)

Good luck on your TEAS next month. If I can be of help to you or anyone, let me know.

Meanwhile, I will be patiently awaiting mid-october (more like impatiently) :p
