This is my last ditch effort to see if there is ANYONE out there who will be attending UCF's BSN at the Daytona campus in January?!?!!?!:D

Kelli

I will be..I am so nervous :)

I am too, but I'll probably be the oldest one there! I'm 35!! Are you going to the meet and greet the 16th? Kelli

No you're not I am 27..I won't be able to make it to the meet and greet

I am trying to get everything together for class...that book list is quite extensive..lol

Since I am getting financial aid, I have to wait til the 15th or so to order my books! I already got my nursing kit, and my scrubs. I only have the ATI testing thing left to pay (That and the books)! Kelli

I ask someone if I could wait until I got financial aid, she told me that we have to get the books by the first day of class....so I don't know :(

Yeah, you can opt into the textbook purchase program on your myucf page. It allows you to borrow against your financial aid . That program opens up either on the 15th or the 21st of this month and then you can order your books to be billed to your financial aid. They just take it out of how much you get. I spoke to the bookstore yesterday about it. Go to your myucf page and scrool down to "Financial aid textbook purchase program opt in" and click on that. Once it allows you to "opt in" by registering, you then go to the bookstore website or call the bookstore and order your books to be shipped. I live in Eustis, so they are shipping all to be for like 25.00 shipping. You have to get them from the main campus, apparently. Kelli

Ok, thanks for the info. I will do that!!!

I am also going to be at UCF Daytona 2010. I can't go to the meet and greet because I will be traveling for the holidays, but I'm sure I'll see you at orientation. I am nervous about the TEAS test, how are you guys preparing?

I have applied to the UCF nursing program for the Daytona Campus for Spring 2012 start. Is there anyone else out there who has applied? My overall cumulative GPA is not that great at 3.38. My Science GPA is 4.0. Overall Pre-req GPA is 3.56. I have heard from other posts that the TEAS is a pass/fail, but when I spoke to a nursing advisor I was told that a higher grade on the TEAS will give you a better chance of admission. My score was 84.7. I have also heard that the overall GPA's are a bit lower at the regional campuses. If there are any current or former Daytona nursing students or any other applicants out there I would like to get an idea about average GPA's and the program in general. Thanks and good luck to all!!!

I have applied for January 2012. My overall GPA is a 3.7, my pre-req gpa i am not sure how to figure it out. I took sociology and psychology so im not sure if they consider both or just one. I figured out if i include both its a 3.38 but if i drop the psych which i took in 2005 it is a 3.51 :/ anyways... my TEAS is an 86.5, I heard that the overall GPA's are lower at the regional campuses also. I dont know much about the program except 36 students are admitted, it takes a year and half to complete, so if we get in we will graduate in August of 2013. There is a background check, cpr requirement, insurance, and something about ATI testing when we are in the program(im not sure)
