Thats great.. you only needed a 25! I noticed your name on some other school threads. Are you applying to a bunch of programs and then seeing what happens? I originally wanted to go to SCF but with all my pre-reqs it would be another year before I could apply.. by that time i'll be 1/2 way done with Keiser's program!

Thanks. I don't know much about the Wonderlic Test so not 100% sure what a good score is.

I was looking at other schools until I found Keiser's ABSN program. Now my heart is set on Keiser.

I'm sure you'll do fine.. keep me posted! Nice to finally "meet" someone that I might be in class with!

Hey MJT,

Do you happen to know if we need all white shoes? I know the scrub top is white with a teal-ish pant. And are we required to order our scrubs through a specific vendor? Thanks!

I'm not sure of any of the core class specifics yet. I was told they would be in touch about 6 weeks before core starts with further info.

Gotcha. I'm excited to start the program but it sucks we'll have to wait so long to start. Wish they started up in January.

I agree, but I have enough prereqs to keep me busy for a while.

Casti - any new info today from Admissions?

They accepted my humanities! So, all I need is to complete DEP 2004 this fall and all my Prereqs are done, I believe. I'll confirm for sure tomorrow. I also asked about letter of recommendation forms for those I'm asking recommendations from but he said there isn't a form and that it's a simple letter. They don't even have to seal it in an envelope. They can email it to him. I'll ask about the shoes and scrubs tomorrow, too. I had classes all day and he was super busy so I didn't have a lot of time to talk with him today.

I'm also looking at Keiser Ft Myers because I'm pretty much in between them, but the highways to Ft Myers have more lanes which is a little bit safer than the single lane Highway 70 to Sarasota. Haha

Cool on the Humanities! What classes are you currently taking?

I've seen the Ft. Myers location off of 75.. The one in Sarasota is also right off 75 (exit 213)... It's not a one lane highway!

I am currently enrolled in DEP 2004, HUM 2211 (Ancient Times to Medieval Period) and HUM 2020 (Intro to Humanities). But I am gonna drop the two humanities courses since I won't be needing them now.

I live in Arcadia, out in the boonies. So, I have to take Highway 70 West about 40 minutes to get to I-75, then I can take that down to the Sarasota campus. Highway 70 is one lane each direction. Or I can take Highway 17 from Arcadia down to Punta Gorda and hop on I-75 there and take it to Ft. Myers. Its roughly the same amount of time, but Highway 17 is 2 lanes each direction and they are newly paved roads. So, a lot smoother commute. But we shall see. I like the idea of Sarasota because I am interested in Psych/Mental Health Nursing and there is an Children's In-Patient Psych Hospital in Bradenton. I haven't looked at facilities in the Fort Myers area, though. So, they may have something down there, too. Who knows?

Ahhh I see.... I'm in Venice. Sarasota is 29 miles away and Ft Myers is 62 mile away, so Sarasota is the clear winner for me! lol
