in miami mercy hospital, in coconut grove, has a program, also miami dade college has one. i know that davie, florida has some programs.

the website for miami-dade college is http://www.mdcc.edu , i don't know the website for mercy hospital off the top of my head.

I recently graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Practical Nursing. It was a great program. Lindsey Hopkins Tech, Robert Morgan Tech, Miami Lakes Tech and Miami Dade College also have an LPN program. I opted for Mercy Hospital because was the quickest to get into, also I didn't need to take Miami Dade's college entrance exam(s) to get in. Mercy Hosptal now has a transition to RN with Miami Dade through the Alliance Program. The phone no# for Mercy is 305-285-2777, Carolina is the secretary, she will send you more info. Hope this helps and lots of luck!!!!

Hi I was accepted to Mercy College but I have not been thru the interview process. I see you graduated from that school. What do you reccomend me? How are the Teachers? Where did you do your Clincals?

Thanks

Liz

Your gonna love it there! The program is excellent and the teachers are wonderful. Clinicals are right at Mercy so you dont have to go anywhere except for your nursing home experience, you will go to the Miami Jewish Home. Your pediatric experience will be at Miami Childrens Hospital. From what I've heard Mercy Hospital students are the only LPN students who have permission to do clinical experiences there, I dont know why.

Pay very close attention when the teachers repeat things more than once. Anytime Mr. Westfall says "Point To Ponder" write it down. And remember, the only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask.

Im not gonna wish you luck because you are going to do phenomenal! Happy studying!

Funny...I did my clinicals at Miami Childrens in Dec 2004, and I didn't attend Mercy I went to Miami Lakes Tech. I guess they decided not to take any other schools after that time.
