1wayst,

I see in a couple of your posts you stated that you and your high-point friend have a "duval address".

I am not certain of your situation, but when I applied for Summer09, the NS began investigations into the validity of the address used for establishing Duval residency. Could it be that you don't live in Duval and they figured that out?

Dunno.....just thinking.....

No, that's not the case! I would expect them to verify addresses. I would think they would have to do this to give priority. Actually, my points are figured wrong. I was not given credit for a class I took many years ago. I spoke with the director today and she is supposed to be checking in to it and getting back with me! But, thanks for the info... :)

I am so happy for all of you that have gotten in!! It must be so exciting!!!FutureRnmom- loving the "student nurses rock"!!

I have a question, I had forgotten that I had a "C" in Human growth and development. I had taken it many moons ago right out of highschool, can I retake that??? I have registered to take statistics to maybe get an "A". I had gotten a "B" in Algebra but hopefully I can get my points up somehow and retake the Nat. Anyone know I would greatly appreciate it, if not I will be calling the school. THanks again !!

Well, don't take my word as gospel because I am hearing this from second hand. I think that there is not a problem re taking classes. However, unless you get a D or F, I think you have to re take at another school. If this is true, I would look into re taking those classes online somewhere else. Check with the school that they will transfer over, and go for it!

Hey Girl ;) It's me!

Okay, I know the answer to this question, first hand!!! Unless things have changed sitnce August!!! I took English back in 1992 and got a "C". I wanted to retake the class since it was over 10 years ago that I first took it. I went down and met with my advisor who told me that she couldn't do. (I heard of another girl that said she DID retake a class over from 10+ years ago). I told the advisor that it must be possible since I had a friend that did it. I left. She called me 2 days letter. She said that my question went all the way to the President of the college. The President sent out memos to ALL staff saying, per Florida requirements, that if you took a class previously and earned a grade of "C" or better, you MAY NOT retake the class. I called two other colleges to verify, and they told me the same thing. She did tell me that if you DID have two grades for one class (I don't know how you'd do that since it's a state policy), that they will take the LAST attempt grade. No matter if the grade is better or worse than your first attempt at the class.

I was really bummed, for two reasons! One, I was stuck with the C and the other reason I was bummed was because I didn't have a english class since 1992 and now I had to take english II!!!! Anyway, I hope that helps! But, if I were you, I would STILL go down to the campus and ask! Who knows, maybe you will talk to the same lady my friend talked to and get to retake the class, :yeah:

Hello everyone! I have a question for any and everyone who got in for the spring 2010 session. Has everyone ordered their uniforms or will you be waiting? I am not sure if I should go ahead or wait, we won't be needing them until the next semester right? Thanks everyone.

TO EVERYONE WHO BOUGHT THEIR UNIFORMS ALREADY:

1) Can we be our own khakis, or do they have to be from the meridy website?

2)under the pants section theres 3 types of pants, do we have to get all three or PICK between the 3?

3)I kinda want to get the Kswiss for my shoe, but they only have them in Men sizes, do you think its ok for the woman to wear them too?

anyway, I just wanted to clarify those before I put my order in... thanks!
