Didn't see this topic posted, so posting now! Trying to see who's applying for FIU's CRNA program since the application window is opening soon!

What I understood from his answer is that it seemed like we should expect all other CRNA schools (at least in this state) to follow suit because it has been shown that GRE favors people of higher social economic class and taking it as a requirement for admission isn't recommended any longer. Have any of you heard anything about that from other programs ?
I was told in an information session with a different school that the GRE was not promoting diversity of applications due to costs of exam and I guess not allowing a fair playing field for all. In addition, passing scores of the NCE were not reflective of high GRE scores but more in GPA of natural sciences. That's why most schools are relying heavily on our overall science GPA. As ----------------------- pointed out in the interview.... Lowest science GPA 3.67. Duke also rid of the GRE this cycle as well.

I remember him saying that and I have seen some programs that have dropped it recently. I believe many programs still have it in place more so as a "weeding out" process and preventing them from getting 400+ applicants like FIU and Miami did this year.

I just interviewed this morning with UM and they told me to expect a decision in 2-3 weeks. I feel like I was really able to connect with them in regards to myself and personality, but definitely faltered a bit in the clinical aspect. Don't feel great about it, but still keeping faith for both programs ?

personally, I felt MU interview was more friendly than FIU.

I felt like this too! both definitely caught me by surprise

I think it depends on interviewers. I had Mu interview 2 week before FIU. They were super nice. I got accepted into MU. I was stoned out during FIU, couldn't sell myself out at all. crazy waiting for my result now. I did not do well on personal questions as well.

Girl I feel like we are on the same exact boat. I hope we're just stressing out for nothing ?
I felt the interview at FIU was very anticlimactic. They were nice but they didn't ask me anything about myself. Not tell me about yourself, tell me about your experience LOL. They just asked why fiu, why CRNA, if I currently work in an ICU, and if I shadowed a CRNA, and a clinical question. Curious about how they translate the interview into points
