hello everyone!!! I am an Rn from the Philippines. i would like to ask how long does florida BON issue eligibility to take the NCLEX? CGFNS-CES issued their report regarding my credentials last May 2006 and everything states that ALL requirements meet. When can i expect my eligility to arrive?
thanks you very much!!!

My UK agency won't use Florida because it's one of the longest to process (along with California - according to them) but hang on in there it will arrive....eventually!!
thanks RGN1 !!!
i was hoping to take the NCLEX this july, aug. or september maybe but i guess i will really have to hang on. while waiting, maybe i could spent time reviewing for NCLEX.
again, thank you for your reply. how's work there in UK? i heard they've stop hiring Filipino nurses. is it true? i have considered Uk as one of my options too but with that bad news, i guess will have to forego with the plan. anyway, still hopeful.
have a nice day!!!

Until the last few years, it was one of the longest waitacand more expensive states for US nurses to get a license in. And it is one of the poorest paying.

All of you, please do your homework.
Florida will not issue you a hard license when you pass the NCLEX-RN exam. It will be just like California, you get a piece of paper that states that you passed, and you cannot endorse with this. Sure, Florida uses the CES, but they still take quite a bit of time.

According to their website, it will take 30 days before they could make a decision for eligibility to take the NCLEX.
Although the CES report states that the curriculum in the Philippines is comparable to the US, it doesn't mean the evaluation is already complete.
My wife recently received a letter from the BON asking for the school to provide them additional information regarding the clinical hours in Medical-Surgical Nursing. I just don't get the point of requiring CES then do their own evaluation afterwards.

My agency uses Vermont & then you pay to have the license transferred. They won't use Florida.

I'm a filipino RN,
I will be applying here in Florida BON too, although my credentials are still in the evaluation process with the agency in Miami.I hope Fl.BON will not ask for more since the agency alone already eats up almost 2 months waiting for my credentials when in fact it's already in thier file received a month ago.
Looks like my journey will be longer,i should have applied in another state. But what i was thinking before was the cost of endorsing here, not realizing my time of waiting.I already have started with complying with the evaluation,so i'll just wait, and hope for the speedy processing.
Sorry For That Continuity,i Hope Reader Understand Where My Post Start.i'm Not Familiar How To Insert The Other Post I'm Referring With.
