NCLEX Obsessed

  1. I am a recent graduate of Kaplan University. I got excellent grades in class as well as with HESI exams, now I using the Kaplan QBank and freaking out. I am ranging anywhere from 66-70% and am losing my mind. Is this normal? My classmates and I are required to take a 2 day review class offered by Kaplan and my attutude is hopeful...But nontheless I am feeling like I need more schooling. Does everyone feel this way when getting ready for the "Big Test"?

I heard 66-70% is a good score. I didn't take Kaplan but from what I have heard that's good.

Thank you so very much! I was used to getting much higher scores in class, so when I get theses lower results I thought maybe I had just retained the information for that particular test. I'm using another Saunders book in conjunction and get like 95%, si maybe its just the QBank thats difficult. Thank you again

I used Saunders and Prentice Hall and found Saunders to be really much easier. I so needed that book to make me feel better when I was getting 68% in the Prentice Hall book! It made me feel successful because I did better. I think that the test taking skills are a MUST to read and practice. I was able to increase my scores by using them. I took my test SLOWLY and used 4 of the marker boards they provided! I will know in a couple of days if I passed!

Yeah i would say Kaplan questions are harder than Saunders questions and even the actual NCLEX questions. I was getting between 60% and 70% and passed with 75 questions, and some of my classmates were getting between 50% and 60% and passed. I think you are good to go!

That score is great, I got 55, 57, 68, 70, 56, 57, 56 on all my tests and passed my boards today...seriously they told us to get half right to 60 percent and we will be fine...DON'T WORRY! YOU ARE MORE THAN MINIMALLY COMPETENT TO PASS THIS EXAM!!! ;-)
