Hello All!

I had an interview on Friday for a Tele floor. I was asked by the Director where do I see myself in the next TWO years and I said maybe doing some critical care, such as ICU.

Now, thinking back on it, I don't know if I should have said that. I don't know if the director was looking for retention or expecting a response that says you plan on moving on within your career.

When it was time to ask my questions, I specifically asked how does she feel about continuining edcuation and higher learning, and she said she was totally supportive of it, and if my goal was to be in critical care, she'll help me map out a plan to get me there.

I don't know if I'm worried about nothing. The interview was Friday, and I hand walked a thank you letter to her office and sent a follow up email just to make sure she received it. I was told she had others to interview and she will be getting back in contact with me by the middle of this week.

I graduate on Saturday and I'm fricking out!

Someone help!

She acknowledged your desire and offered to help you map a plan, it sounds like she wants to support you. I am sure she didn't want to hear "I plan on being here on the tele floor working on my ACLS and perfecting my documentation ..." managers want to know that you have aspirations beyond your entry level position. What else may you have said?

Be patient, give them a follow up call at the beginning of next week.
