This is an EXCELLENT BOOK! I've been an RN for 5 years now and found a LOT of useful Information in it. I highly recommend it for all new grads and it only costs 20 bucks. I got mine at Borders.

I've actually read this book. Although it was informative, I don't know that I would necessarily buy it. It's more like a "I've got an hour or two to spare, maybe I'll go to the bookstore and browse, oh- what's this, a book for new nurses, hhmm, let me browse through this" type of book. Just my opinion!

right after i passed my boards i read this book before i started my first job. i thought this book was wonderful. i would highly recommend it. i think it helped me so much being a new nurse, what to expect etc. it gave me a bit of confidence. i still look back through it when having a bad day at work.
it also gave alot of resources in the back of the book, websites, professional groups. ACTUALLY I FOUND THIS WEBSITE IN THE BOOK.
