Hi, I'm starting back to school for my BSN in August. Has anybody else graduated from an ADN program and jumped back into a BSN completion program in their first year of nursing? Also, if you attend Chamberlain, how do you like it? Do you get burned out going full-time? I only have 10 classes to take, so I'm hoping it won't be too bad.

Congratulations! There are some people on the distant ed board that are doing chamberlin BSN and they all appear to like it. I just got accepted into a RN-BSN program but will not start until May 2010 so I will be a nurse 1 yr. when I start.

I did! Passed boards in early August 2008, started my BSN with Chamberlain in October 2008. I had said that I was going to wait until at least January 2009 to get started, but I had $3K in education funding from my employer remaining for 2008 that I didn't want to lose, so I jumped back in. I wanted to keep going while I was in "school mode," anyway. I also needed 10 classes, and I've completed 4 of them. I'm just doing one class at a time, for the most part. I doubled up on a couple of general ed classes for the first session, and I'm going to double up on a couple of the nursing classes toward the end. Overall, I love Chamberlain's BSN program so far! I'm getting ready to start my next class, Health Assessment (NR294), on Monday. I took the last 8-week session off due to vacations and whatnot, and I can't wait to get back to it!

Like NC Girl said, there are a lot of people doing Chamberlain who post on the distance learning forum: https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/

Thanks for the reply. It gives me encouragement for jumping back in. I had read those other posts, that is why I considered Chamberlain. Those posts helped with my research.
