First week of clinicals canceled because of Frances :(

I'm so sad now. I was really looking forward to wearing my uniform and starting, but the stupid hurricane messed that up. Now we're going to be a week behind. :angryfire

My school sent out the e-mail that they're going to be closed today and tomorrow this morning at 2 a.m.! I checked last night, but not at 2 (don't have a computer in my apartment), so I showed up this morning (45 minute drive) just to find out it was canceled. Several other students showed up, too. Whatta way to start. :crying2:

I am also a nursing student in sunny Florida. I am thankful that my school closed today and tomorrow in regards to the hurricane...and you should be as well...they are only looking out for us....I am using my time to volunteer at one of the local shelters.....It is unfortunate that you found out when you arrived at school today that it had been closed. I am sure that was was not a nice feeling.

Hubby came here (Pensacola) for our son's surgery. He was supposed to go back to Sarasota tomorrow. He still thinks he is. Man, Frannie ain't even going to be close to leaving Florida tomorrow. If delta flights are closed today, I imagine they will be tomorrow.

Not that I mind. I don't get to see hubby very often. :)

But, I do feel sorry for all the people living on the East coast. :o
