First Semester at Cerritos College

I am going to be starting the Nursing program at cerritos college for Spring 2012. I am just trying to get some information on what books we will be using in the first semester, if we are going to be buying uniforms through the school, and any other supplies that i will need. I am just wondering how much all of this is going to cost, and if i can get a start on buying books and supplies so i am not spending so much money at one time that would be great. Any help or advice from current or previous cerritos college students would be extremely appreciated. Thanks :)

They will explain everything in the upcoming orientation.

But these are the books we are currently using this semester:

-Taylor, C., Lillis, C., Lemone, P., & Lynn, P. (2008). Fundamentals of nursing: The art and science of nursing care (7th ed.). Philadelphia: Lippincott Williams & Wilkins.

-Jarvis, Carolyn. Pocket Companion for Physical Examination and Health Assessment.

-Lippincott. Chart Smart: A-Z Guide to Better Nursing Documentation. 2nd ed. Philadelphia: Lippincott,

-Mosby's Medical Nursing and Allied Health Dictionary. 8th ed. St. Louis: Mosby

-Nix, Staci. Williams' Basic Nutrition & Diet Therapy. 13th ed. St. Louis: Mosby

-Pagana, Kathleen and Timothy Pagana. Mosby's Manual of Diagnostic and Laboratory Tests. 4th ed. St. Louis: Mosby

-Skidmore-Roth, Linda. Mosby's Drug Guide for Nurses. 9th ed. St. Louis: Mosby

Uniforms are just regular white scrubs and tennis shoes. You'll need a good stethoscope, wrist watch, and penlight.
