First hesi exam

Published

Hi, so I am taking my first hesi exam on tuesday for my nursing assessment class and it will be 10 percent of our total grade. I'm wondering if any of you took this exam for one of your classes? I know some other nursing students from other schools that do not have to take this. What should I do to prepare? Study? I'm nervous because I don't really know what to expect and it is in two days!

I had to take one too. Are you able to due the HESI Case Studies? Because that is what I mainly did to prepare for mine. I also reviewed lecture notes and key points from chapters in the text book we used.

Yes, I did all of the case studies that were assigned so I will probably review them. What book are you using to review? We had to use the potter and perrry book and a med surg book. I'm confused because we also have a final in a week so we would be reviewing all our lecture notes anyway so I should do that for this hesi exam as well?

My class is using the Jarvis book, so I used that a lot.

My final was 2 days after my HESI test, so I was in the same situation. Yeah, you might as well review the lecture notes too. It at least helped in my case.

My school also uses the Hesi as our finals however they're 15 % of our grade and there are no retakes. For the Hesi I review what's in the Hesi book, since teachers have limited access to some of the tests. For my med surg hesi my teacher did get input on what was on it. However for OB and Pedi my teachers didn't.

thank you! I didnt get to buy the jarvis book this semester :( and my test is tomorrow I guess I'll just focus on our notes and the hesi case studies

Wow, thats crazy. What school are you from? I was thinking about buying the hesi book, that might be better. I'm just broke right now and I already spent more than 500 on books. I hope I atleast pass the test because I don't have much time now. Thanks for your input
