finishing lvn school

hi, i'm from the medical center area in Houston. I'm finishing lvn school next week and i am wondering when and where should i apply. Should i wait until after i take the n-clex or should i do it before. Is there anywhere that are hiring partime- like the weekends. I'm still planning to do more prerequisistes next semester, so i will be in school fulltime. so i was wondering if anyone knows places where they may have flexibility. Also, which would be good to start with hospitals or clinics??

Not sure what to tell you - You could probably do both and explain that you still have to get licensed.

I waited until I had my license in my possession prior to applying for jobs, because hiring managers and HR people would have no reason to turn me away (other than lack of experience). I know of other LVNs who attempted to submit their employment applications without license numbers, and the hiring managers at the facilities with immediate staffing needs would respond by saying, "Please come back, and reapply when you have your license."
