So I've been traveling for one year and I have a compact SC nursing license. My most recent assignment was in Denver, CO where I have been for the last 3 months. I recently decided I loved Denver and didn't want to leave, so I found a permanent job (elsewhere from my contract), just signed a lease, and my contract is up next week. My concern is that since I have already been here for 3 months, do I still have the 30-90 day grace period to switch my permanent residency declaration?
My goal for next week is to get a Colorado driver's license and voter card , then I can send in my official application by endorsement. We all know that could take 4-12 weeks before it's official. I would think that it would be the same as me extending my contract here, but since I signed a one year lease effective next week, I need to change my residency ASAP. Has anyone death with this? Changing from one compact to another after you've already been practicing with a travel contract? Am I abiding with the rules?
Thanks!

You are following the rules. You lived in another state and worked on that state's compact licensure. You have now moved and whatever grace period they allow, you are eligible.
