Finally Passed NClEX-5th time!

Published

Hi Everyone!

I FINALLY got my PASS in the mail today! I took the Nclex 4 previous times, and I had tried Hurst, Kaplan and studying on my own. This time I did Uworld, I went after it seriously! I knew my disease signs and symptoms inside and out, I also knew my Lab Values inside and out. I had taken the test 4 times, each time getting the MAXIMUM AMOUNT of questions and would be Near Passing on EVERYTHING.

This time, I did Uworld, I went in with the attitude that I am going to take the LAST test I ever have to take! I STILL got all the questions---I knew I failed when I left there. I got ALOT of select all questions, one math, TONS OF "which patient would you see first" -a lot of exhibit questions and SEVERAL meds. I told my family I might as well plan on when I'm taking it next....I refused to check my results. Today my letter came- I opened it, and was looking and it was just two pages! Where was the report I thought??? I LOOKED AND IT SAID "PASS" I am still in shock, that test was hard, but I TOTALLY believe that Uworld was the answer!!! Tonight marked my ONE YEAR of walking across the stage graduating....and TODAY I got my PASS IN THE MAIL! Never give up!!!! You all will make it, I knew I failed...I just knew. But I passed!

Hi LuluaspiringRN,BSN

On Kaplan I really averaged about 55-60%. I can't remember what I did on Hurst. I felt each time going in that "this is the day"...but each time it just did not happen. This time I got Uworld and I'm ashamed to say my first few days my average was 40-50%. But, as I did the questions more and more the averages went up. I went in there with an average of 70%. With that being said, I did know my lab values inside and out plus my disease signs and symptoms. I knew my insulins.

Knowing all that I honestly STILL felt like I failed. I had a lot of MEDS, a lot of which patient would you see first, Math, Select all that apply, and exhibits. When I came to question 86 and it said you can take a break, I did just that. I took my break, I regrouped and went back in. I was terrified when I got ALL the questions once again...EVERY time I got the maximum number of questions. I failed 4 times, but this time I got all the questions, and it was a PASS. I literally would not and I mean refused to get online and check my results, I knew I failed. So, when my letter came yesterday, my son text me and said "mom that letter is here." I went home, went through ALL my mail, then saved it until last. I knew it felt "thinner." But I knew there was no way. When I opened it, I had only one piece of paper and the paper with my photo on it. I was like "where is the rest of this dreaded letter?" I was looking through it and stopped. I seen PASS. I was screaming and hugging my son....I just still cannot believe that I passed with everything that test threw at me that day. I felt so lost while taking it, but I tried to use process of elimination and to figure out, does this answer make sense? Is it SAFE for my patient. That is pretty much my story--I can't believe one year to the date of my graduation that I got my PASS finally. Praise the lord!!!! I have followed this sight, and seen so many inspirational stories, and also stories like mine. I'm so thankful for this sight, it gave me hope. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Thank you so much!

Congratulations, , I take my nclex in a month ,how my questions a day did you do?

Hi there! I did 200-300 each and everyday on Uworld, they are SO much like the Nclex to me. Good Luck--and remember, it's normal to feel like you failed after!!!
