Filipino nurses

I would like to have a feedback to the all nurses that graduated in the Philippines and is now practicing in the US.

1. How is nursing in the Philippines different than in the US?

2. How do you cope with this changes?

3. What would you have done differently to adapt to the changes?

4. What is your advice to newly immigrated nurses?

hi Angelica,

There a lot of variety of nursing field specialty in the US.

But most newbie RNs work in nursing home due to the experience requirement in hospitals.

My advise is to a newbie US immigrant RNs is to work is workplace either nursing home or hospital with Filipino coworkers who can ease your homesick and mentor your nursing career.

if you own a car, you can work as a visiting nurse in a Filipino home health company. and you can be flexible and independent on that nursing field.
