Filipino Nurses from the Philippines

Published

I need help, guys. Badly.

I received a letter form CGFNS regarding my application for CES. They are requesting for the Validation of Registration/License from PRC Philippines.

You see, I came here to Houston with my Mom just a week after the June '09 NLE hence the results weren't out yet. So when I applied for the CES, the requirement (License Validation) was waived by CGFNS. But now, they're asking for it. And I don't know what to do. So frustrating.

I believe someone from this forum mentioned before that Texas BON doesn't require license from the Philippines if you graduated in the last 2 years. I wonder how true that is.

I haven't contacted Texas BON or CGFNS yet. I'm gonna do that on Monday.

For those like me who came to US before they took their professional's oath, how is the process of registering and getting your license? And how long did it take before you had your license? Because this is going to delay again my application for CES as well as NCLEX. It's been almost 8 months since I sent my application for CGFNS-CES. If I'm not mistaken, I can't send the Request for Validation of Registration/License without actually being registered/licensed, right? And I can't get my license unless I take the Professional's Oath, right?

Please advise on what I should, need to do basing from your own experience.

You'll be blessed.

Thank you very much.

:)Hello honey_love joy!

I see no one has replied to your question. I'd like to offer my little knowledge, if in case this problem isn't resolved yet.

You only need to print the VOL page from the Texas-BON website. Fill it up, and be sure to sign it. Then send it to PRC where you applied for your board exam. You call them over the phone first to know how much their fee is but it's only around 300 pesos(or more, but less than 400), including tax and service charge, plus the fed ex fee. The PRC should mail that VOL directly to CGFNS. We are not allowed to send it. Ask them how much the fed ex fee then. You only have two choices: either through ordinary postal mail or fed ex.

It's very easy. I hope I am able to help. By the way, I also took the exam last June 2009 and applied for my CES and NCLEX. Until now, I still do not have the results from CES and NCLEX eligibility. Am already here in Tomball and patiently waiting for my eligibility.

Ingat. God bless.

Hi! Thanks for replying. I've already filled up the VOL form, but I can't send it yet to PRC 'cause I haven't registered for my license. I still have to take the professional's oath before I can register, then I can send the VOL form to PRC.

How long have you been here? Did you take the professional's oath in PH and register for your license before you moved? That's giving me so much trouble. *sigh*

I hope you'll hear from CES and NCLEX soon.

God bless you!^^

Hello again!

I have been here for a month already.

And yes, I registered and took the oath and filed for CES and NCLEX before I came here.

Do you need to go back to our country to take the oath?tsk tsk tsk.. that would be so difficult. I hope everything will be fine for you then.

Take care and Godbless.:nurse:

Oh good for you then, 'cause like I've said it's giving me so much trouble, and wasting so much time. No, I don't need to go back home, I can just take the Oath in front of a Philippine Consul. Luckily, a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles is coming here to Houston some time this month. I'm really hoping I'll have good news soon 'cause it's been a year since graduation and I haven't done anything in my life yet. *sigh*

Thank you dear. I hope so too. Same goes to you.

take care now. ^^

Authorize your relative to do it for you. You don't have to take the auth anymore just the registration. What you have to do is to make an authorization letter (it's better if signed by a US attorney), giving some authority to your relative to register and claim your license in your behalf. Also send the forms for license verification from CGFNS-CES and the form for license verification from Texas BON. They will be accomplished after the registration.

Send the letter to your relative through FedEx or DHL so that it will be faster. And instruct your relative to use FedEX or expedite mailing so that your documents will be received ASAP. Good luck.
