AWHONN's Fetal Heart Monitoring - Principles and Practices
As I beginner I found this book very easy to understand, and I still read it and refer to it.
I have that book, too. It's a good one and you can purchase it at the AWHONN website. It's actually the reference text we used for the Fetal Heart Monitoring classes by AWHONN.

I would also recommend the Awhonn Fetal monitoring book, it was excellent.

just to add my 2cents, my teacher made up a cute song for fetal monitoring.
"It's a decel, it's a decel
to the left & to the right
Turn the pit off, grab the O2
Let the doc know were alright"

I loved that book when I was in L&D! I still do the Strong Perifax, so I use it for the EFM strips.
