Hello everyone,
I just took the nclex RN for the 3rd time, and failed again .. The first time I took the test I got 265 questions, the 2nd time I got 75 (I think I just rushed through it), and this time I got 211 questions.. I used the online kaplan course to study for the 2nd and 3rd test which I guess didn't help me. I don't think I am a very good test taker and can't seem to grasp the strategies kaplen talks about. I was just hoping for some advice and maybe what books/programs worked best for others.. Thanks a lot!!

All I used were the Mosby Question cards. They really helped. One thing that was different was in the Mosby cards they asked about endocrine levels and what it meant, ie: Metabolic/Respiratory Acidosis/Alkalosis and the NCLEX was more on what to DO when someone had those endocrine results. Aside from that, I felt that the cards really prepared me to answer questions.

I took Hurst and LOVED it. She goes over a lot of core content. You can't pass NCLEX if you don't know the basics. I recommend Hurst to get you started and then maybe Kaplan to start applying that knowledge! Don't give up! You can do it!
