I don't know why I do the things I do honestly I should have a warning sticker on my forehead that says proceed with caution now entering an area close to meltdown. That's how I feel at this present time. I decided to sign up for chem 102 and 103 which is the equivelent to the second part of chem 101 it's the lec and the lab. I had signed up for the class before but withdrew and here I am again. I decided to take the courses just in case I didn't make it into the school I wanted because that school only requires four credits of chemistry and everyother school in md requires eight credits. I'm not doing bad in chem 102 I go to tutoring, have a study group, I bother my professor all the time I hope to get a B gone are my chances of an A after the test I took today. Anyway but the lab is so hard and I'm completely lost in that class and the teacher won't help us he expects us to know all this from chem 101. I took chem 101 over a year ago so I don't remember. I just feel like dropping the two classes but then I will have five W's on my transcript and four of those will be from taking these chem classes twice. What shoud I do? Keep going or drop? The school I want to get into only requires four credits of chem but how will all the W's look to the admission committee? Thanks for reading the post if you got this far.

You’ve come part of the way and you say you’re doing fine, plus you’re taking the extra effort with tutoring, etc., so why stop now? I don’t think you should give up because of one test. You might struggle with one chapter or two but then in a few more weeks you get into different chapters that you don’t have trouble understanding and this helps to pull up your overall grade. Have you tried cliff notes or searching online for websites where you can get a quick refresher on the earlier course? It sounds like if you had a quick reference guide to refresh your memory that might make your work easier.
Admissions committees know that W's happen. However since you've already dropped the same classes before you probably should try to get through this time - if that's at all possible for you.
I don't know I may just see how I do but at this point these classes are stressing me out. I may just give them my best shot and worse come to worse just withdraw. I just don't know how my w's are going to effect me getting into other programs which are only two that I can find that except only four credits of chemistry.
