FCCJ Fall 2008

Published

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

I'm Jenn guess we could all introduce ourselves to each other before next week lol my job is givin me crap about being out that day I just gotta make it through the next month then I can say see ya ugh its just frustrating when ppl don't understand how hard this ish is well that's all for now

Worksource gave me $1000 for books but it's in voucher form. I'm not complaining, just wish I could buy them from ebay or something and stretch the money further. Yes, tell us how you got the book list. I haven't gotten my uniforms yet but maybe today or Monday. I still have to get my skills kit but live far away and hate to make the extra trip just for that. I guess I'll have to at some point, though. My name is Jessica (or Jess or Jessie) by the way.:)

I got the books just by calling the bookstore. They all use the same books. Now different teachers may assign different work in the books but the books are all the same. I had called because I wanted the dosage book but figured if I was going out there I would get all I could to avoid 168 people doing it on Thursday but my plan didn't work because they didn't have a lot of stuff. But the dosage book was the most important. They had about 20 left but there may have been more in the back. I paid $63.75 for it used but it was around $85.00 new. The 4 books I got isbn #'s are below. Let me know if you need the iclicker but I would think you would have to get that at the bookstore. When you do get that, don't open it until your teacher makes you because a lot of teachers don't use it. Sorry I freaked everyone out thinking they didn't get something they should of. It's just my ocd kicking in and I'm trying to do everything possible before school and before I'm blind (haha). Here are the #'s

Also, make sure if you go out there early you don't buy anything that is in the bundle package. She was labeling the book tags when I was there so that wouldn't happen but I would double check so you don't purchase something twice.

Oh and speaking of introductions...my name is Megan. You can call me Meg or Megs as well. Hope everyones having a great day so far!!!

My name is Stephanie, but I really go by Danielle. I try to keep my name Stephanie with teachers though because I have had teachers forget that I turned something in because their rosters said Stephanie and they thought of me as Danielle.

I sure it is not a surprise considering my All nurses name that my name is Amber. I can't wait to meet you all very soon.:)

LOL. I PM'd FloridaRN2Be my name...this was kinda for everybody because I don't think I ever told anyone ???

I'm so excited. I have a countdown 'til orientation going on in my planner. My hubby, mom, sister, and friends are so sick of me and this nursing stuff, that it's not even funny. They think I'm bipolar. One day I am so excited saying "I can't wait, I'm so happy"...then next day I'm screaming "I hate this (S-word), (F-word) nursing"...

OMG you sound just like me. I think it's a mixture of extremely potent emotions. We're all in the same boat I think.

Hey guys I am filling out stuff on the worksource website but it says on this paper sent to me to fill out full work registration in EFM (employ force marketplace). There are so many tabs to choose from!! Which one am I supposed to fill out. I already did the registration part. Was that it? Thanks. Joy
