Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.
I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.
I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!
I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!
Best of luck & success to all!!!
Ok guys. I not I have not been part of this board very long and I don't make to many comments but I need to say this. I am having Lasik surgery on Monday so I am probably going to be in sunglasses during orientation. Mainly because I can't wear eye makeup for a week and I'm 40, so that's not good! I'm telling you guys this so I can eliminate a few people from secretly whispering that I look dumb or must think I am cool! I assure you that will not be the case. Now I won't have to dress a certain way or wear a green dot. I will be the pathetic, stupid, makeupless person in sunglasses!
I got lasik about eight months ago and it was the best thing I have ever done for myself. You are going to love it. Are you getting traditional lasik or PRK? My doctor said I could wear make-up after 2 days just not eye make-up for at least a week. Which was fine as long as I could wear Powder and bush. I freaked out after my surgery because the moon that night was blurry and it looked like spikes were coming out of it, but everything went back to normal so there was no need for me to be so scared. I asure you everything will be fine. Message me if you have any concerns after the surgery and just want another person who has been though before. Congrats!

LOL, I never wear makeup and usually look clumsy! I'm just a tomboy. I never quite got the hang of the whole, "look cool" thing. I'm just glad to look like me I guess!
I'm sure that your 40 years old with lasik surgery glasses will look ten times better than my clumsy, awkward 27!
