FCCJ Fall 2008

Published

Hello all! Just thought I'd start a thread for all of those folks that have submitted, or are getting ready to submit, their applications for FCCJ's Fall '08 term.

I will be submitting my application in a few weeks, when this Spring term ends. I have taken my NAT (twice), so I'm good to go there, but still need to get my CPR class done. I called several places & I'm waiting to hear back from them.

I look forward to chatting with & getting to know all of you, who will be doing the count-down with me... on getting our acceptance letters!!!

I know it helps to sound-board off each other & to lean on each other for support... especially with getting all the things done that we have to do!

Best of luck & success to all!!!

The following instructors are not available for Term 1-Abich (on leave), Hepburn (Peds only), Jones, A (Term 2 and 4 only), Langford (typically only teaches Psych and OB), Macke (Peds only), Oller (OB only), Rinehart (Peds clinical), Sink (Adult Health 1, Term 2), Thomas, M (not teaching, CRNA school-OB), Thomas, R (the BSN coordinator, don't know if she'll teach), Willford (not teaching fall semester). Here are the ones I know teach Term 1 classes-Ansbacher, Burns, Durant (mostly OB but has taught Concepts), Henderson, J. Watts. Along with Steward. Now, having said that, if issues or emergencies arise, you might see someone show up that I said wouldn't teach Term 1-it happens occasionally.

Ansbacher told our class she is not going to be teaching next term...they all get a semester off and fall is hers...sooo that kinda sucks...=)

All I have left is a physical and I'm done!!! whooohooo

okay, would anyone like to discuss this iclicker thingy that we need for term 1?

I have no idea what that could possibly be. I was wondering the same thing. I think they will discuss it as orientation.

My chemistry teacher used it in his in classroom class. I took it online. The way he explained it was by the students using it during lectures the teachers recording the students responses and it made it more interactive for the student.

I don't know I kind of feel like it is to make sure that your attention has not drifted off somewhere else.

Yes the way it works is the teacher can pose question to the class and you have to pick an answer and register it via your iclicker. We were told we had to get them for concepts and assessment but we never used them. I'm only holding on to it because I'm told there is a possibility of using it in every term.

Yeah, I have one too, but I need to find it. I put it into the niece and nephews' play box. It originally cost about 30 bucks.

so I went and got my shirt yesterday, and they are pretty nice for fccj polo, and I thought the sizes were pretty accurate, the girl that said she had to get a extra small and it was still too big I think needs to eat more, becasue mine fit just right, now i dont know if that makes me chubby, or her super skinny,or maybe she's a midget, but either way Im gonna rock mine!

For her sake I hope that she is not a midget or super skinney otherwise she might take offense. Which leads to the question...If it means you're chubby, does it mean you should eat less?
