I also applied for this summer. I wish they would just tell us either way because it sucks to wait for so long. I have a 3.52 gap and scored 85 on the hesi... i heard many people dont get in with higher gpa and scores than that so im worried. i hope i get in but if i dont i will try to get into south university. Tuition isnt that bad at fau, idk about housing. I would try to get an apartment if i went there.

I applied to FAU's program starting in the summer, and I have looked into a few scholarship sites, but I haven't had much luck finding anything promising. I am trying to find merit based scholarships, but most of the scholarships I have come across are looking for very specific applicants and are need based. However, since FAU is a state school, I am not too worried about it.

Rental homes in Boca seem pretty expensive, but I remember seeing a few apartments advertised that did not seem too bad in price.

I think we should hear something from FAU sometime soon, at least I hope. I know it is still early, but I am already getting anxious every time I check my email.

I'm also having a hard time finding merit-based scholarships *sigh*. As for housing, I looked at a few apartments but at those prices getting a 1/1 is pretty much out of the question so I don't know what I'd do in trying to find roommates =(

Once decisions come rolling out, hopefully more people will show up on the boards who gained acceptance, and they might be seeking a roommate. For some reason, I don't see very many FAU threads on these boards. FAU also has a housing website that you might want to check out. If I am accepted to FAU's program and decide to attend, my husband and I will probably just end up renting a house. The rent for homes there is more than a mortgage payment in our current area, but since I applied to the accelerated program, it would only be for a year.

I applied for the 2011 traditional BSN program and the suspense is killing me! I'm checking my email account constantly. Please post as soon as any of you hear whether you've been accepted or not...good luck to all of you!

Yea, I hope more people do find their way to these boards. I've looked into FAU's on campus housing and the ones that offer residents their own private housing are really expensive (I'm use to living in an apartment with separate bathrooms for each person)...We'll see what happens. Who knows, I may not even get into FAU lol. We shall see lol....and I will certainly post as soon as I hear anything. Good luck to all of you! =D

I applied as well for FAU...I got into the South University nursing program already which starts in April but I really want to go to FAU as that is where I went to college for the past 3 years and I love the school. I have a 3.67 GPA and scored a 91.2% on Hesi...I checked the threads for previous years and most people found out about acceptance around Feb 15th or so! Hopefully soon we will be getting out letters! I heard FAU is so competitive and I have no idea how they do the selection process!

Have you heard from FAU? I also applied to the acceleerated nursing program, and I can't wait to hear from them!! please write as soon as you found out anything!!

i havent heard anything yet. The latest that they would let us know would be by February 28th. I DOUBT that I will get in becuase it is sooooooo competitive. IF anyone hears anything either way please post it here. Thanx!

No, I haven't heard anything and it's driving me nuts! I can't stand the wait! This is pure torture. Even if I don't get in, just knowing my status will make me feel a little bit better =(
