I haven't had the best experience with transcripts I was told to send to school by advisor and did so I was told he would give to nursing program. So I did not put in packet. Ms. Tellis called me after deadline I explained what happened. She told me she would let committee know. I was then rejected for not meeting requirements. My question to those that are reapplying is on your rejection letter did it specifically say I strongly recommend you reapply? Trying to get feel it it was a generic letter. Or did they strongly recommend everyone reapply?
I see others say they were missing and were allowed to bring. That's disappointing since I was turned down for missing transcripts. I would assume that's why turned down. It said didn't meet criteria and was told it was because of missing transcripts seemed a bit confusing.
Oh I see. I don't know why they would tell you to do that. You have to send all of them to the school and all of them in your packet again. Unless the person thought you were applying to a different program. Other programs don't require all of this stuff
Yes it was odd and very disappointing because that's why I was declined or at least not offered a interview. However that's over and I can only hope I have a better shot now. FAMU is known for looking at entire student not just scores. So fingers crossed
It is a generic letter. They send the same thing to everyone. As I stated before Famu School of Nursing Is very picky and more than likely has favoritism. They will say one thing to one applicant and something else to another. It's just a way for them to cut down the application pool.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us. Prospective students visit this site all the time, and I‘m sure that your post helped them a lot. Hopefully, they can learn from your mistake-all of our mistakes.
