Anybody applying to FAMU's nursing program for the spring?
@Preddy J, CNAThanks for returning to the site to answer some of our questions. My first question is about classes. What classes are you taking? Also, could you tell us about any interesting experiences that you've had this semester as a nursing student. One last thing, how are the instructor's teaching styles and personalities. Past and current nursing students are also welcome to answer these questions.
No prob! Currently taking 6 classes this semester including Pathophysiology, Concepts & lab, Health Assessment & lab, and Intro. Each of the instructors teach differently, and have different personalities but one main thing they will all expect from you is to think critically, and not only be able to read the required text but apply it to a real situation. Being a transfer student I would say that this whole semester is interesting for me especially coming from a small city, the campus is beautiful and there's always a lot of activities to do although, it's hard as a nursing student to participate in everything.
Hello everyone. Im also applying for spring. I sent my application in but I didn't send my high school transcript which provides proof of foreign language since the instructions said to send all transcripts AFTER high school and now im just freaking out cause im just thinking about it. Anyone know if they will give me a chance to send that in since the deadline has passed?
Hi Neonate! Welcome to the discussion. To answer your question, not including your high school transcript could definitely hurt your chances of getting in. The committee may look at it as you not being able to follow directions. By any chance, does your other transcript(s) show that you took foreign language in high school. For Instance, considering that I was a dual enrollment student, my college transcript shows that I took the required foreign language even though I was in high school. I would say try to bring it in anyway. Who knows what will happen. I will say this you should get that in ASAP. The more you wait the worst it looks for you.
I would just call them Call them tomorrow and see what they say before submitting anything. They usually allow you to submit your transcript during the interview or Ms. Tellis will call you and tell you that you are missing it and would like for you to turn it in. They are kind of picky so don't just submit something without verifying first.
