Family Medicine/Private practice nursing

I am looking into these kind of jobs but heard they pay a lot less than hospitals and other nursing jobs. Can anyone share how much they get paid in an office or clinic as a nurse? I am just curious because I am not getting much info online. I am in the Denver, CO metro area Thank you

It is my experience that of those MD offices who still hire nurses (very few do), only those who are contained within a larger system (where physicians are employed) will pay a decent salary. If the practices are employed, their nurses will be paid on the same salary scale as the hospitals in the same system.

If the practice is independent, there is no incentive for it to pay salaries on a hospital scale. The M-F, no weekends/holidays schedule draws plenty of applicants.

I work in Denver in an outpatient practice. It's part of a larger hospital system, and as such, I get paid the same as nurses with equivalent experience and credentials in the inpatient world.

True private practices rarely hire RNs. Or if they do, they don't pay them what an RN would typically make.

If you go to Denver Health's website and look at their RN job postings, it lists the min-mid-max ranges for RNs.

I work family practice for a non-profit company partially funded by government grants. The family practice is located in the hospital, but is not owned or part of the hospital. Salaries are much lower that nurses working in the hospital or other outpatient areas.
