Who is applying to the Fall 2018 Full-Time Program?

Has anyone taken their Hesi yet and if so, how was it?

Hi Saimartino, I am applying for Fall 2018 F/T Lake Worth. Haven't taken HESI yet, but studying my butt off, esp in Biology, Chemistry, and A&P. I plan to take HESI in March, and a second time (if my scores aren't good enough for me) in May to optimize my score. By any chance, is there a way to know the exact start date of a given semester? So, for the August start date, what exactly is the date? Could it be as early as August 1st? I already e-mailed a program specialist, but still waiting to hear back from her with her answer....

If I am understanding your question correctly, for the application deadline of June 1, the start date is August 1. For the application deadline of October 1, the start date is January 1st. Hope this helps :)

Sorry for the confusing question, so the program has their own start date, unrelated to the college's academic calendar? Usually for Fall, classes begin August 23rd. I'm wondering, because I want to take Intro to Pharmacotherapeutics during the summer, and the summer semester ends August 7- it would overlap with the nursing program if the programs does indeed begin before the summer classes have ended. I hope this makes sense, yikes! Thank you!

Gotcha! You can take Pharm while in the program. That is not a problem at all, however, I would recommend that you take it before you are in the program. I took Pharm last semester along with Chem and Critical Thinking and it was a lot. It is recommended that you take it prior to starting the Nursing program. I can tell you that there were a lot of Nursing students in my class and they were struggling. It is a very demanding class, on top of an already a demanding (Nursing Program) schedule. :)

Oh, yes! I plan to take it before the Fall Nursing Program semester begins. I want to take Pharm in the summer which is from 05/14/18 - 08/07/18. So, the program specialist just got back to me on this question, and she said that the Fall term usually begins the 3rd week in August, so I should be ok to take Pharm in the summer without worrying if the schedules will clash... Wow pharm, chem and critical thinking - that IS a lot! Did you have any trouble registering for Pharm? I read in another thread that it can be hard to get into Pharm prior to being in the program; they said that the registration window was open for a short period of time...?

Grea! I did not have a problem but, definitely register right when your timeslot opens. It fills up fast! I took Sebar and she was amazing!

Yes, I plan on taking it a couple of times. I am currently taking my last prerequisite (AP2), so my focus will be the HESI from now till I apply.

Oh thanks for doing this. I plan to take Pharm as well in the Summer & critical thinking in Nursing. What are you using to study for your teas? I am going to take mine in March as well.
