Published

Hey y’all! I recently got accepted to Mercer’s pre-licensure nursing program for Fall 2021. Creating this thread so other people thinking about applying or who have been accepted can talk.

It’s normal to be a little anxious but just believe you’ve done your best and it’ll work out!

From what I was told they look at everything collectively not just your TEAS. If you are stronger in other areas like your GPA, personal statement and or college resume (extra curricular activities, volunteer hours, clinical experience etc.) it will balance out. My TEAS score wasn’t high either but I had a very strong personal letter, high GPA, and clinical experience and I believe that’s why I got in. Plus it helps that you submitted before the deadline.

Hey, I applied and so far everything for my application has been exceptional. Im just struggling t get to the minimum they need for the TEAS. I've taken it twice already and missed by 7 points. you said yours wasn't high but did you make the 76? im afraid although everything is great they won't accept me if I don't make the score or higher.

Yes I actually did not meet the minimum either. The highest score I could get was a 74. My admissions counselor told that they do still consider students over even if they do not make the minimum score. I felt confident enough with my essay, GPA and that my sister had also gone through the Mercer ABSN program as well to submit my application anyways. I’m really hoping that I still get in!

OK so good I do my third and final try for fall admission again Thursday. hopefully I get to the 70's at least. I pray we get in!

@Ry_ari Yes I met the minimum required TEAS score but just barely! I did see somewhere else that they let a student in with a lower TEAS score bc they had a strong letter and college resume. What helped me was the ATI TEAS practice test b and c and also mometrix secret TEAS guide and Science with susanna. Hope this helps!

@Michdxn I’m wishing both of you good luck! And hoping to see you all in the fall ?

I tried several times for the TEAS exam. It’s definitely not easy. Each attempt I would get 1-2 points higher than the last. My final score was a 76. I also did the practice tests that you purchase through ATI and also used the Mometrix book which I feel helped me a lot more. Best of luck to you, but most of all don’t lose faith!

Congratulations!!

Did anyone have to go through an interview? If so, can someone please help with what questions were asked or how to properly prepare for an interview?

Thank you so much in advance.
