Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Everything involving the application is done electronically correct?

Not getting here fast enough, lol. I think I am going to go ahead and sign up to take my bls class and get that out of the way.

I was thinking about it but somewhere it said that it can’t expire while in the program so i was going to wait a lil longer

Yeah it last's two years so if I get into my one and only choice "montgomery" I should be good. I am going to sign up to take it in june. I would think the program would be over by then.

Does anyone know when the drug test is usually required by? I'm still setting up for Cyfair's lvn and I'm not sure if it's needed with the physical. I read on an old forum that they wait to do it at orientation.

I’ve been at CF since January and haven’t been tested yet. They only drug test you right before clinicals. CF doesn’t start clinicals until second semester.

I went to the Kingwood orientation for the spring 2019 cohort as an alternate and we got drug tested there.

18 months. You don’t get a summer break. You only get 3 weeks in the spring and 3 weeks in the fall.
