Please help I recently took the NCLEXRN on Monday and I found out I failed and I'm so lost. I dont know where to begin and what to study now. I study the examcram and went to a NCLEX review course. This is very discouraging but I know I can do it. Anyone with ideas let me know. I had all the questions so that made this whole experience worse.

You have taken the exam once now and know what to expect. I agree with everyone - look at your weak areas and concentrate on those. I wrote the NCLEX July 15 and am waiting to hear but I also feel that I did not pass. The most important thing is do not give up. You got through nursing school and you can do this.

Sorry to hear you failed. Take a short break and then start again from the beginning and study. Set yourself a study plan

I recently found out I did not pass either. I had always been the straight A student passed all the practice test but I let my anxiety get the best of me. Right now it feels like the world is closing in on you, but it gets better. You just have to pick yourself up and realize this is not the end. You will take it again and you will pass. There are many great nurses out there who have not passed the first time. Some of them I would put my life in their hands. :) Chin up
I would like to thank everyone for their responses. I have just went and bought the Saunders Comprehensive Review NCLEX-RN Exam book 4th edition. I'm gonna read the book and review and do all that I possibly can. I hope with this book that it will give me all the help I need to pass boards. Again thanks to everyone!! I'm praying this will work!!!! I'm not planning on giving up thats for sure.

i am sorry to hear that you were not successful on the nclex--i also know how you feel, i have failed 3 times. why don't you look into suzanne's plan. (sticky at the top of the nclex forum page). i am working on her 1st tip and will have it completed by the end of next week. (been working on it for almost a month now--but it has truly helped). so many have passed with her plan and she does this along with also working full time. i truly believe i can pass this time, so i will be looking out for her 2nd tip in august. i wish you all the best and you should really look into her plan.
take care!

Trishredhot, sorry that you didn't passed. I know how it feels. I failed my first exam at 265q too and it took me awhile to get myself motivated to get back into study mode. I had a posting a month ago where I passed on my 2nd try and what I did to pass. Hopefully this helps. As my nursing manager said to me when I didn't pass, "It happens to the best". Good luck on your next NCLEX!

Sorry to hear about your result. Try to focus this time...establish the foundation & the basics. Try Saunders....it worked to many.

theres always a second chance, once you failed it does not mean its the end. take some time to relax.

Hey trishredhot,
I found out this past July that I didn't pass NCLEX either with 265 questions. I am soo bummed now. I am really considered Suzanne's plan, I have read alot of positive outcomes from it. Wishing you the best of luck to you and me both!
