Failed NCLEX 2x and need help

Published

I am in need of some help here. I took the NCLEX twice and failed both times taking all 265 questions. When I got my results back showing what area was weaker, I look at those sections more carefully for the second time. It still has not worked. I had an ER job lined up and now it is no longer mine. This is extremely frustrating. In school we were required to do Kaplan. I exhausted Kaplan out and now I was told to use a different program. I just bough another book: EXAM CRAM NCLEX-RN and I am debating on buying the HURST review online. Does anyone have any input on the Hurst review or what I can do to pass on the 3rd time?

I heard that Hurst was really good.

How did you study for the second time? What resources did you used For content?

Ops, I dindt read carefully. I am taking my board exam for the second time around. After studying using PDA by la charity it helped me a lot with my prioritizing, delegation, and assignment questions of Kaplan. Especially in management of care questions. I also used hurst vedios to refresh my memories. As I go through the videos I remember all the information about what is being asked during the lecture or what is the lecture all about. As I go through the videos I used Saunders q n a, lippincotte q n a, and Kaplan as my main resources on answering content and nclex style questions. After doing PDA and hurst videos it helped my Kaplan score for the second time using Kaplan . I took the diagnostic test again from 52% I took it last June, now I got 71%. And for my readiness test without going back and reading the rationales when I took it during June as well, yesterday I took the readiness test and felt I'm not going to do as good as I did on my diagnostic because the questions where hard. However, with my surprise I got 74.44%. Hopefully this second time around taking my test on sept 8. I will pass my board exam. Anyway God bless and good luck. I will keep you guys posted.
