RN??

So I failed my boards twice...the first time I took it I had 205ish questions and the computer shut off. I then did the online Kaplan review to help but unfortunately the second time around I had 152 questions and failed again!!!! According to the print out of my weaknesses I did worse my second time around which absolutely shocked me!!!! I don't understand how I could do Kaplan as an intervention and stilllllll fail. I wasn't really upset the first time, but this time around I am in disbelief because I did worse and I might lose my job that they have been holding for me. I guess I'm asking...what should I do because I am at an absolute loss...? And how can one do worse the second time around?...seriously considering a different career field:scrying:

If it is any consolation, I too took Kaplan two times. I failed the first time around even though my scores indicated I had a good chance of passing. What I did the second time around was do Kaplan again (all of it, all q-trainers and all q-bank questions including watching all the video lectures and questions). I also studied Saunders 4th Ed and followed Suzannes first tip. I did not have enough time to complete her program before I was scheduled to test again. I found that Saunders helped me focus on content that I was weak in. Kaplan really doesn't focus on content all that much. How did you study for your second time? Did you do alot of questions and read all the rationales including the questions you got correct? I found that it helped me. Also if you aren't aware of the "Random Fact Throwing" thread that is a sticky in the NCLEX discussion forum, take a good at that. It has excellent bullet points that really stuck with me. Hang in there, don't give up, you have come this far and will pass that beast of a test!
