with the economy going to h*** in a handbasket, the motor city has been hit HARD between many nurses relocating with spouses and hospital closures they are so hard up for nurses, and housing costs have gone down, but on the flip side what used to be a safe good neighborhood is not the same now, house hunters need to go in with their eyes wide open, I grew up just south of Detroit, my dd's eye specialist is at Beamont-Royal Oak and I still wouldn't move there to work, I prefer hospitals that don't need armed security and metal detectors so I'll take care of the snow birds down here in retirementville. odds are the story was in the detroit free press www.detroitfreepress.com I believe, can't remember for sure

it was in the detroit News
