Externships in or near Pittsburgh

Does anyone know of any nursing externships in or around the Pittsburgh area? I'm in my first year of nursing school and I was trying to find something that I could do over the summer. I really want to do something with peds I think. If you know of anything could you let me know? I've tried searching on the internet but didn't have much luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Nearly all of the local hospitals have Nurse Externships. You have to call the nurse recruiters of the places. You won't get too far online. I would also get on the horn quickly though. They usually hire for those jobs at the beginning of the year. I would make calls today if you can before it's too late. If you're looking at ped's I know Children's definitely has Nurse Extern positions. Good luck!

Thanks... do you happen to know how they typically pay? What exactly is the difference between internship and externship because I don't really know??
