Info lit is basic computer history and use. Pretty easy. Can be done in an afternoon. You can take notes and use them in the end but you can also print out the info and make a "book" to use on the exam. You get a pass/fail grade but I would think most people with any computer background will do fairly well.

i'm in it now, it's boring but like the above poster said it's pretty basic, i'm halfway through it and started it this evening it's just some reading, then each of the 5 modules has a 10 question quiz to do as well as the final exam which is pass/fail!

Does anyone know if they will accept any other classes in place of Info Lit...like Technical Writing or Information Technology?

Info Lit is stupid because if you have already done the EC classes online, it is obvious you know how to use a computer/internet/etc. It's just a way for them to get a few hundred extra bucks, I think. The "course" is set up so that you can't just skip the readings and take the end test. BUT, you can avoid actually having to read all the mumbo-jumbo by clicking absently on each module individually marking that you have been there and then it will let you take the end tests. Of course, maybe there is a thing or two of semi-useful information in the material if you are patient enough to actually bother learning it. Be assured, I was not so flippant about the rest of my EC classes. Just this one.
yeah you have to take each module quiz and pass those with a 70 or better...i take it see what i get go read whatever i missed the questions on and retake the module quiz...i've gotten 60's on the quizzes first time, and 90 or 100 on each quiz there after...only the last module is left for me to do...i'm wondering if the final is all the module quiz questions?? i hope so cause i only skimmed sections...thinking of printing it all out to meka my little "book" for the class, but really dont want to wast ethe ink!
